The Purr Project
Drag to set position!
The Purr Project, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization whose duty is to give a second chance to good felines that would otherwise be euthanised because of trauma resulting from an accident, abuse, or abandonment. Because The Purr Project is based at New Haven Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine - a 24-hour emergency facility and many of our volunteers are veterinarians or veterinary technicians and we can provide 24-hour care for our animals.
But The Purr Project is more than just an animal rescue. Through The Purr Project Foundation, we give academic scholarships to students dedicated to helping animals, and our community arm - The Beebe Anti Cruelty Institute researches the human/pet bond and seeks to address community issues like, “Animal Abuse and the Circle of Violence”.
