The ‘Love is Here’ Project / Book launch / Exhibition

 

Calling for entries now.

 

The love is here project are making a limited edition booklet that calls out for artists and non-artists alike all around Australia to create an artwork that responds to a set of words.

 

And those words are: "I love you"

 

Idea being that there are many ways to say I love you and through the diverse range of unique responses (20 will be shortlisted) we will compile a limited edition A5 booklet titled "Love is Here" which will be launched in Rancho Notorious gallery in July 2011 and then travel to Ambush Gallery in Sydney in August.

 

The booklet will have cut lines so that the individual pages can be torn-out and given to people as little loving gifts (as original artworks) in a pay it forward kinda way or, as a compilation.

 

Your artwork must be in black and white, it can be typography based or must contain the words 'i love you' somewhere within its composition, in landscape format (A5 landscape), and emailed to us as a .jpg so that we can put it up on our Facebook page for everyone to see and express interest in (through 'like'-ing it)

 

We want all of your responses so yes this means you.

 

Oh and it’s free. The best things in life are free.

 

This is your chance to be exhibited, published, and seen by potentially thousands of people.

The 'love is here' booklet will represent at least 1 entrant from each state around Australia.

 

The exhibition will run for 2 weeks at Rancho Notorious Gallery in Melbourne and 1 week at Ambush Gallery in Sydney with opening parties and the books and limited edition prints and original artwork to be sold during this time.

 

Pre-orders for the book will become available after the submission date cut-off.

 

This will be a truly beautiful project.

 

Invitation open to Australian residents only sorry.

 

Submission deadline is May the 15th, 2011. But the sooner you submit the more chances you have of people 'liking' your artwork, which will help determine the shortlisted artworks to be published.

 

Entries open from Monday the 21st of March 2011.
