Since my sister gave me a manual focus 35mm Minolta I have been hooked on photography. In college, developing b/w prints in the darkroom were some of my favorite times. I appreciate all kinds of photographic styles, but usually just notice when the light is right for a shot - and aim to frame the subject in a unique, sometimes obscure way.

Technology has made me somewhat lazy. It is so easy to snap a shot on my iPhone and upload from there that my DSLR has been almost exclusively relegated to the professional work we do for clients. But, even when using the iPhone, I hope to capture something that hasn't been done before - or with a technique that makes the capture a one-of-a-kind.

After being an early adopter of flickr, I have had a multi-year lapse in uploading anything at all. In 2013, I am back, doing a 365 project - and sharing with a group of new contacts. I look forward to seeing what happens.
