I love photography! Even though I am a retoucher by trade, I prefer to shoot and present images with as little computer manipulation as possible - I want the world to see things as they actually appear, as I have seen them, not as I can make them appear through computer manipulation. Also, I like to use only available light/existing light - I find the use of tripods and flash cumbersome and frustrating because its really hard for me to quickly and inconspicuously get the shots I want when I travel or on the street.
My favorite subjects are travel, architecture, and abandoned places (i.e., buildings, vehicles, cemeteries, etc.). I'm currently obsessed with shadows, reflections, and stencil graffiti within the urban environment. I've always had a passion for showing odd angles, close cropping, and abstractions - texture, line, pattern, and the relationship between light & dark/positive & negative space.
Learning never stops - I'm always open to learning new, better, faster techniques, ideas, theories for both photography and retouching. Any and all constructive criticism is always appreciated. No matter how much you think you know, there will always be more to learn, practice and refine!
Feel free to contact me for permissions, prints, exhibition, or just to say hi! :-)
