History

Established in 1979

Thirty one years ago live stand up comedy was brought to the Sunnyvale stage. At the time, the location was called "The Country Store," originally a Country/Western bar. The then owner started having "Comedy Nights" that became so popular the business was renamed "Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club" and it became a full time comedy venue! Since then Roosters has been host to many of the stars of today. Come in and check out all the headshots on our walls. All those comedians have performed at Roosters over the years: Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres, Dana Carvey and Christopher Titus, just to name a few.

Roosters is housed in a historic building that at one time was Sunnyvale's first bus stop. In 1972, the venue was a bar called "Andy Capp's," the first ever location of the first video game, "Pong."
