Artist Biography:

Kevin Cherry is a multidisciplinary artist based in Downtown Mckinney, TX. I began painting and drawing at an early age and realized I wanted to be involved in the arts throughout my life. I graduated from the Texas Tech University (TTU) with a BFA in Design Communications and a minor in Ceramics (sculpture). Since graduation I have gone on to work in a number of different advertising agencies, freelance graphic designer and since 2006 teaching art at Allen ISD. This is a great opportunity because I am able to teach the next generation to create and appreciate art. Teaching also affords me the time to still create in my free time. My current art practice explores the interaction between fine art, street art & graphic design/typography.
