I was born and raised in Washington Heights, a small ethnic, very diverse neighborhood in upper upper Manhattan, and have been living in the Southern Berkshires in Mass for the last 11yrs. I must have tried a 1000 times to take up photography as a hobby, and a expression of my own artistic view of the world, failing every time. Finally, small high end compact digital cameras arrived, and for the first time I have taken pictures that come close to what I was seeing, and feeling when I was moved to capture it. The same technology that I have been warring against, has opened a new world to me. My life is one, huge, ironic chronicle.
