In addition to photography, I'm passionate about programming, music, and design. Despite living in Orlando, most days I forget Disney even exists.

Taking pictures is cool because it helps me keep my eyes open to all the details of the world around me. It also encourages me to get outdoors and explore. I still have a lot to learn, but it's been fun so far.

All of these photos were shot using a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I've used a few zooms: the 18-55mm kit lens, the 28-105mm other kit lens, and the 10-22mm wide angle zoom.

Recently, I've fully embraced a love of primes, and sold all of my zooms. My kit now consists of four lenses: the 50mm f/1.8, the 50mm f/2.5 compact macro, the 24mm f/2.8, and finally a telephoto: the 200mm f/2.8L. I love all of them.

I used to have the 60mm EF-S macro lens, but traded it for the 50mm. I like them both a lot, but the 50mm is a little softer and more dreamlike, where the 60mm is a bit more precise and sharp.

Aside from the lenses, I've got a few other accessories: an angle finder which gives me a sharper view and lets me take shots from ground level more easily. I use it almost all the time these days, and love it. And I've got a basic tripod and a shutter release cable for doing long exposure and night stuff.

Until recently, all of the photos were shot unstaged using natural light. I'm usually more keen on taking a picture than making one. I process them in Lightroom and Photoshop mostly for color correction and contrast.

For a wedding reception, I bought a Speedlight and I've used that a little. I still prefer natural light, but sometimes there just isn't any.

If you know me in real life, please add me as a friend here. I've got a bunch of dumb snapshots of shenanigans on here that I don't subject the public too. (Rule of thumb: pictures of your drunk friends are hilarious, pictures of someone else's drunk friends are dumb.)
