i love mireya's work! she shines at mixing layers of paint techniques with paper collage--and her work is always multi-dimensionally deep, yet fun. i like that you can appreciate some pieces for their simplicity as a whole, then realize that she handpainted some tiny little details that had to take forever. in our circle, only a handful of artists are creating works of art that can really stand up when it is inspected closely for quality, technique and talent. to boot, mireya is awesome--so gracious, friendly and funny! i have several pieces of her mail art, and i only expect to beg more from her in the future!
