Amanda Relaford is a recent college graduate with a B.I.S. degree in Theatre from Georgia State University. Her design credits include: Assistant Scenic/Props Design- Titus Andronicus for The Players of GSU, Lighting Design- Sister Soldier for The Players of GSU, and Costume Design- Problem Child for The Players of GSU. During her time at Georgia State University Amanda served as President of The Players of GSU, the oldest student charted organization in the state of Georgia, from 2008-2010. As a part of her role as President Amanda was involved in all aspects of the theatre produced at Georgia State University. Some of her duties as President included: writing and presenting the budget, sitting on the Arts Fee Council, running board meetings, attending production meetings, coordinating board responsibilities, acting as liaison for visiting designers and artists, planning workshops, maintaining the theatre space as needed.

 

In addition to her work at GSU, Amanda gained experience through an artistic internship at Theatrical Outfit. As an intern Amanda was given the opportunity to work on a number of professionally designed sets, and was exposed to several different design styles and production techniques. To further develop her design skills Amanda worked closely with Resident Design Associate & Production Coordinator Rochelle Barker on assigned design projects.

 

Amanda has worked as wardrobe, and production assistant for both Theatrcial Outfit, and True Colors theatre companies, as well as The Players of Georgia State University.
