My name is Alex Tillman. I am a photographer from Phoenix, Arizona. I mainly focus on automotive photography. However, I also enjoy taking many other kinds of images such as nature images. I enjoy taking these kinds of photos because I am inspired by them. Cars are very interesting to me because I have grown up around them and have worked on them my entire life and I have always liked the natural beauty of the raw and untouched nature. I mainly shoot in color but I sometimes I like to use black and white or selective coloring. I also, normally print my images on ultra premium glossy photo paper to really bring out the colors rather than hide them with a matte paper. This helps me change the mood of my pictures I take. I like to capture the action happening in my photographs rather than freezing the moment. To do this I use a slower shutter speed which blurs the background. The message I try to convey with my images is the beauty of things in general I don't like to try to make a subject look bad deliberately, I am more likely to take a different angle on a subject to get a "Wow, I've never seen that like that, that is very beautiful from that angle." Also, in taking my pictures I will take multiple shots to ensure I get a good image rather than only taking one image and checking it and retaking it this helps me get my action shots right the first time. My work directly reflects me because the things I take picture of are things that are interesting to me so anything you see an image of that I take is something that I like.
