I had bought a 4 inch Newtonian telescope at a garage sale for a 100 bucks and started looking at the sky and was amazed. After a couple of years I got the urge to try astrophotography, and WOW! The tools you need to do Astrophotography aren't cheap, but you can do quite well without spending a fortune. The German Equatorial mount I use is the iOptron IEQ45 Pro, and the telescopes I use for photography are the Orion 4" MAKSUTO-CASSERAIN for Planetary, and for deep space, the TAKAHASHI FS60CB REFRACTOR, ASTRO TECH 6'' F4 NEWTONIAN, ORION 8'' F3.9 NEWTONIAN, and finally the TPO 8'' F8 RITCHIE CHRETIENS. All my images have the stats for what camera I used by abbreviation: 60Da or C for canon dslr, SBc for Sbig STF8300c, and ASI294MC PRO which is a ZWO single shot color CCD which I use exclusively now for deep space imaging. And for how many light frames (subs), and how many seconds each sub was to make the image, I use for exmp: 24x300s = 24 subs x 300 seconds long for a total of 2 hrs. I use DEEPSHYSTACKR, REGISTAX, PIXINSIGHT, and PHOTOSHOP to process all the images in True Color, not False Color. WAY TO MUCH FUN! Enjoy the Images!
UPDATE: As of 2019 after 10 years in this hobby I'm no longer doing Astro Imaging. The hobby was fulfilling, but is just to physically demanding for me to participate in anymore. It was fun, but time to move on to more easier kind of hobbies, like FISHING! See ya! "GONE FISHING"
