Mohosin Kabir (b.1986, Netrakona) is a practicing visual artist, working through various media and styles such as Drawing & Painting, Photography, Cyanotype print, Calligraphy, Installation art, Sculpture, Miniature and Tiles Mural Painting. Graduating with his MFA in Fine Art from the University of Dhaka; At the same time, he did a Photography course in the Dhaka University Photographic Society and later President himself. He always tries to do experimental artwork with playing various mediums to create something new.
Kabir achieved Best Award (Photography) Young Artist Art Exhibition 2020 and 1st National Photography Festival 2012. He took part in various art projects organized by Britto art trust, Art pro art initiative, Sandwich Dhaka, Background art collective, Art Bangla, Back art foundation, and Outdoor group. Kabir’s work has been widely exhibited at international festivals, contests, and exhibitions such as Documenta Fifteen in Kassel, Germany, Vantage point 10th by Sharjah Art Foundation in UAE, in the USA, Italian National Commission for UNESCO, Athens in Greece, BAKU in Azerbaijan, Romania, Kathmandu in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh. Kabir took part in various curatorial shows such as “Revisit” in ‘documenta fifteen’ in Kassel, Germany, in 2022, and Participation in India Art Fair, India 2023 as part of Britto Arts Trust., Identity: Body and Soul” at the WOW festival by British Council, curated by Jewel A Rob, and “Lost Never Lost” by Britto Arts Trust. Working as Assistant Art Conservator and Documentation with Sandwich Dhaka. “Food security’’ photo book published by Barcik. One of his projects for the book “Visual Ethnography” which is about tribes coexisting with nature is almost ready to publish by UNESCO and the Education Ministry of Bangladesh.
