My first camera was a pinhole camera with a fixed aperture and a single shutter speed. I still have that childhood his childhood Agfa Click-III camera. Primitive as it was, the camera was the perfect instrument to kindle a lifelong passion for photography. It complemented nicely, my love for nature, science, astronomy, history, arts, literature, and music. Since then the camera has been my constant companion, on walks around the neighborhood and trips across continents. I look for frames that are right there before my eyes, only if I just pause for a moment, to see, savor and capture. While I am an omnivore when it comes to the subject matter, lately, my camera is trained more often on the birds or the heavens above. My focus is on capturing the joy of the moment and making it accessible to others. To me, photography is as much an art as it is a tool to awaken, inform, stimulate, motivate, and educate.
