"Gone to Look for America" is our travel theme, a phrase from "America" by Simon and Garfunkel. So we've "Gone to Look for America" and here are postcards of some of those findings. My field of play lies at the edge between photo and painting/post-processing. I use a replacement method wherein I make a detailed sketch and a simplified photo painting or color space. I return the highlights and shadows of the light and dark. I try to bring the painting in line with fine-art photo techniques to the point that you only see the fine-art painting when close up. That's why I provide directions for zooming and panning. Processes: Camera Raw, Photoshop CC, Color Pencil Sketch, Topaz Suite, Topaz Adjust, Topaz Simplify, Topaz Colorspace, Topaz Detail, Nik Collection, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Graduated Neutral Density Filter, Rough Pastel, Multiple Layers, rarely using more than 50% effect for any layer, and watercolor paper. We leave these images for family and friends as evidence that we lived and loved.
