About 8-9yrs ago a friend gave me an Echinopsis which, (not knowing much about cactii or succulents) was left outside in a pot throught til the following year. The plant flourished and eventually produced the most spectacular flowers in spite of being left rather neglected. It continued year after year producing pups and flowers. Then one day in 2010 I found a piece of a cactus on the floor that someone had dropped whilst moving it. I planted it up and it flowered. That was it! I was hooked I started to buy a few more which I kept on the window ledge outside for the winter but with the shutter closed

They are not all identified yet, I'm still working on that. I've learned a lot in this time, thanks to the computer, which I acquired about18months ago.
