My inspiration for photography came from a bloke called Roger Rixon.

Roger and I would go out to photograph Leicestershire for Leicestershire Tourism.

He would load film into one of our large format camera’s, set up the tri-pod, wait FOR AGES until the sun came out, bracket his exposures and when processed, rigorously criticise each frame. All I had to do was point him in the right direction and drive. Between the two of us we achieved nice results.

Now we have digital and I’m not paying for film, I thought I should give it a go!

I try to explore locations that are new or at least different wherever possible, and I’m not impressed by FLICKR STALKERS! – Those who head out for the same spot days after someone else has posted to get a similar shot.

Few of my shots are for the purist, some are twiddled with, some are assembled, others ARE as nature intended. It’s what I like.
