My interest in woodwork dates back to when I was a young boy. I always enjoyed doing things with my hands. When I left school, it was no surprise to my family that I became an apprentice shopfitter and I worked in the industry for the next 17 years.

Over time I began to get a yearning to open my own business. I had definite ideas about what I wanted to offer customers, and I figured that it would be easier to do that if I was “master of my own ship”. In 2005, I took the plunge and Joinery Services was born.

From that point on, two key principles became the driving force behind what we stood for at Joinery Services:

•Firstly, we were committed to doing a great job for the people who use our services.

•Secondly, we tried to act as an informed advisor where needed, for those who may have some ideas about a project, but are unsure about how to turn them into reality.

Those who used our services seemed to appreciate our two-pronged approach to shopfitting. I believe this is why we get a lot of repeat business, and why we’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the building industry.
